This page explains how to delete your Mentio account, what happens to your data afterwards, and how to ask for your personal data to be erased. It is provided in line with Google Play and Apple App Store requirements. Mentio is an online education platform connecting students and mentors; sign-in is by phone number (there is no username).
If you cannot sign in to the app, write to support through the channels in section 4 and we will close the account for you.
Deleting in the app closes the account, but does not destroy personal data at once. Until you ask us to erase it, the following is kept: your name, profile photo and email, chat messages, homework and uploaded files, lesson recordings, payment records, and the Telegram archive (if any). During this time, support can restore the account if you ask.
If you want your data erased, write to support and give your registered phone number:
We usually reply within 24–48 hours. Before acting on the request, we may need to verify that you are the account owner. On request, your name, phone number, email, profile photo, chat messages, uploaded files and the Telegram archive are erased or anonymized — except what the law requires us to keep (section 5).

Such data is kept for the period the law sets (financial records — 5 years) and is used only to meet legal obligations. Sign-in and activity records with the IP-based approximate location are deleted automatically after 12 months. The list of sign-in sessions (the device type and IP address of each session) is not on that schedule — it is kept with the account as a security record, also after the account is closed.
Mentio may be used by minors under the supervision/consent of a parent or guardian. A parent or legal guardian may ask for the account of a user under 16 years old to be closed and the data erased. Such requests are sent through the channels in section 4; we may verify the requester's authority.
